Grid is one of two ways to view your results in Search. It widens the lens a little, so you can discover great connections you might have otherwise missed.
What you'll see in Grid
Grid shows several members at once, each in their own square. For each member, you'll see:
- Their photo
- Their name and age
- Any interests you have in common, shown at the bottom of their photo
- A green dot, if the member is currently online
Please note: if no interests appear on a member's square, it doesn't necessarily mean you have none in common.
How results are ordered
Grid shows the members closest to you first. As you continue scrolling, you'll begin to see members who are farther away.
Making a selection
For each member shown in Grid, you can:
- Like the member if you're interested.
- Pass if you'd prefer not to connect.
Your selection is reflected right on their square:
- Liked — a heart appears on their photo.
- Passed — their square is greyed out, with a line through the heart icon.
When you Like someone, they'll be notified that you're interested.
Changing your mind
If you Pass on someone by mistake, you have a short window to undo it. A countdown bar appears at the top of their square showing how much time is left before the profile fades from your Grid.
Please note:
- Once the profile fades away, the Pass is final. Passed profiles cannot be recovered at this time.
- Undos are a consumable. If you run out, you'll be given the option to purchase more. You can check your balance any time in Where do I find my consumables?
Messaging from Grid
You can start a message with any member you come across in Grid. Sending messages requires a Zoosk+ Membership — if you don't have one, you'll be prompted to upgrade when you try to send.
Switching between Grid and Card view
You can switch between Grid and Card view at any time.
When you switch views, the members currently shown in Grid are cleared and a new set is loaded the next time you return. Members in Card view stay where they are.
What happens when a Like is mutual?
If you and another member both Like each other, a Mutual Match is created.
When this happens:
- The member becomes one of your Connections.
- The connection appears in your Chat page.
- You can easily start communicating with each other.
